Certificate of Achievement in CBET Assessment Instrument Development & Administration In TVET

Course Objectives:

This course provides cutting edge knowledge, skills, techniques and best practices for assessing competency in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to assess Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) qualifications using a variety of assessment methods, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). It also provides participants with the knowledge and skills to compile CBET assessment outcomes, compile the CBET assessment reports, and communicate the assessment outcomes to relevant TVET stakeholders. This short course has been benchmarked against the unit standard 115753/336 to comply with the Namibia Training Authority regulations for assessors and assessment instrument designers.

Exit Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this short course, participants should be able to:

1. Explain assessment within the context of CBET.
2. Develop CBET assessments.
3. Administer CBET assessments.
4. Quality Assure CBET assessments.
5. Compile CBET assessment reports.
6. Communicate CBET assessment findings to TVET stakeholders.
